I called you yesterday. Because I love you. Because it was Valentine's Day... because I'm your mother and I haven't seen you since Christmas.
When you decided to move to your dad's house.. well, to be honest I'd expected it for much longer than anyone will ever know. I never expected to actually have you as long as we did. I expected your dad to get really mean.. and for his lawyer (the mayor of the town we lived in at the time) to pull out all the stops.. simply because that's how our relationship was at the time.
We talked for a while, you laughed at the things that were going on at my house... with your two sisters (yes, they are your sisters - even if only half-sisters) and the new puppy. I was preparing supper, making sure the puppy wasn't running into the dining room to poop, feeding Mia snacks while she waits on supper, all the little things that go on in the evening. It's quiet at your house. No siblings.. no puppies. Only your dad, stepmom, you and various cats. Cats may be cats... but they will never be puppies. =)
The comment that you made... the one you pretended that you didn't say... About me being lazy, or 'not busy' was wrong and hurtful.
I'm not sure what you're being told, if anything, or if you're dreaming up reasons that I don't call every.single.day. But, You used to LIVE HERE. You should know, or at least remember, how quickly our evenings went by.
I love you, I miss you, I promised myself that I wouldn't be the mother who demanded your time, who fought with your dad to get you... You don't want to be here.. So, you don't have to be. Judge said you were old enough to make that decision on your own... so, you did.
I call, if it's before what I think your bedtime should be... but, dear son, dear sweet first born of mine... The phone works both ways.
Please don't let your judgement of my household be clouded by your feelings of your own.
This is about everything... It's my sounding board and my accountability. It's where I praise triumphs and clear my thoughts.

School is drawing closer. And closer.
Lulu had "orientation" today. Basically we all went in, got some papers, they took the kids to another room (where I'm told she played with play-doh) and then the principal went over the do's and don't's forthe fresh meat new parents.
My 5 year old now has:
A PIN number to get her food. she will go through line and is expected to remember a 5 digit code in order to access money that I put in her "account" for breakfasts/lunches.
Split classes! We were told today that she'd have a certain amount of time in one class with the entire class (ex. 20 kids) Then half would do one thing while the other half studied that subject more in depth. Um... okay?!
Don't know how it will work... but I guess I'll have to hang on and see, right?
Then she meets her teachers in a few weeks, this was just a "meet the school" sort of thing.
Punk has two days for his orientation, the 10th and the 19th - I'm hoping at least one won't conflict with golf or vice versa. He's also talking about participating in the bowling league. He bowled last year as well. But I've explained to him that he won't be able to bowl if there are alot of golfing to be done on Saturdays, it just won't be possible.
Baby Girl... well - she's 3 months - smiling her little gummy smiles, nursing, sleeping, and just smelling like heaven on earth.
I'm so blessed.

Look out Tiger!
Punk made the team!! He's been told that he may not travel with the team because there are 12 of them and they only take 6 to the matches. But after practice today he received a team shirt and a team golf bag! Thrilled me.. kind of like a letter jacket only... not. =)

Today is Punk's first day trying out for the High School Golf Team. I hope he does well. And as much as I hope it rains.. I hope it holds out until he's done with tryouts.

No Patch, Ugh! Problems!!
Today was my last day at work. It was also a day that school was two hours late for Punk. I was already at work when he got up. I got so busy at work that I completely forgot to call to make sure that he got up and got to school. So, I text him. He text me back after school to tell me that he was at school.
I realized after I picked him up from Chess Club that he didn't have his patch on. It only takes about 30 seconds of watching him describe his day or the sounds that he makes to realize this. Of course, it's too late now. His patch is good for 9 hours, if he put one on now he wouldn't be able to sleep even if he took it off right before bed.
He tells me he has lots of homework. The teacher has assigned his homework in that class for the entire week, because of the weather we've been having. So, after we pick up LuLu and drive back home I start on supper and ask him to start his homework. 5 minutes later I find him in his room, dancing around with his tv on cartoons. (Excuse me, homework please)
I ask him to come downstairs to start his homework and get ready for supper, 5 minutes later he's downstairs. I put supper on our plates, Apple wraps with chips and dip. It literally took him an hour to eat. An Hour!
So, knowing that I already know the answer to the question, I ask it anyway.
"Do you have your patch on?"
"yes"
"Show me"
"okay, I don't have it on"
"I knew that already"
When he finally got done with his supper, it took him almost another hour to do two pages in a Science workbook, with the book for answers. He kept tapping his pen on the table or listening to the conversation in the next room (and adding to the conversation)
I'm hoping that we'll be able to get a better handle on it.
sigh!

We have another uninvited guest: The Stomach Bug
sick, sick, sick...
I left work early last Wednesday(at 3pm) because the sitter called, "LuLu's throwing up." So, I go pick her up and the first thing she says is "where's daddy?" (I love you too, Sweetie) Hubby came home early because I needed to go to sleep so that I could work that night and stay home with Lu the next day. While he was home he started feeling bad.
Early Friday morning around 3am, Punk texted me let me know that his stomach hurt and was growling. I told him to go prepare his bathroom, just in case. You know make sure there was toliet paper, wipes... and he may want to make a bed in the hall. (Since LuLu and Hubby are both piled up in the livingroom near the half bath) About 30 minutes later he text me that he'd just thrown up 8 times. So, it was official everyone's sick.
I was hoping that I'd made it through the thick of the sickness without any problems. And then came Monday.
I went out on the paper route, didn't feel very different.. one of Hubby's friends called me and we talked for most of the time that I was on the route. When I got home I was a little wired so I worked on a puzzle that I'd started on the dining room table, then I went to take a shower. That's when I got sick. The heat in the shower.. I thought I was gonna pass out.. no matter what I did to the temp of the water.. UGH! I got out laid down for a bit.. and went to work. By noon I knew I wasn't gonna make it the rest of the day. And by 4pm I was on the way home. I won't go into details but I will say that my stomach was rolling and it wasn't from the baby. When I got home, Hubs told me he'd also gotten sick, very sick. So, he and I have spent the last two days sick as dogs. I have been on the couch in the livingroom and Hubs has been in the masterbed room sleeping in the floor near the bathroom.
I'm begging you... please wash your hands!!!

Last night it happened again. On my way to take Punk to stay with his dad and stepmom for the weekend, LuLu notice what street we were on and said "that's the street to go to my school" Which began a conversation about how she wouldn't be in the same school as Punk at the same time but he had gone to those schools. And how one day she'd go to the school he's going to go to next year. To which Punk replied "What if I don't go to that school next year? What if I go live with my dad?"
Now from what I understand this is a statement or a conversation that happens alot with Punk's dad and possibly stepmom. But not so much here. When he mentions it here, it's mostly out of the blue like this time and I feel like I've been missing something. I mean, how does he get to this conclusion. I know I couldn't wait to leave home when I was his age.. but I didn't have a parent in another home.. I only had me and graduation. (can't say "wait til you graduate to him" everything I say goes in one ear and out his mouth to his dad... and usually Punk's translations leave something to be desired)
So, what I'm left with is.... Punk won't talk to me about his feelings and why he want's to move. I mean I'm no dummy I understand his need for his dad but then he tells me that he loves his stepdad (Hubs) just as much as his dad.
I'm going to be a SAHM soon (so I'll be home more for him and my other children) I've pointed out all the reasons that he could/should/(please don't go)stay. School's are better, More opportunities, Friends are here, he won't have to start over, I'll be able to help more, get to know him more, be there more... I know this probably isn't about me... personally. It could be more of a teenage "I can't stand my parents", "If I lived with my dad things would be different" thing. But I can't help but scream on the inside... WAIT! STOP! you're my baby! I need to have you where I know what's going on... where I can make sure you're okay... where I can protect you... where I can watch you grow, and do homework, and make sure the school is doing what it's supposed to for you and see you, and hear you... PLEASE!!!!! DON'T LEAVE ME!!!!
So do I bolt the doors and windows? Or watch my first baby bird fly... at 13...

Punk asked me yesterday, via text message from school, if he could go to a dance after school today. We'd basically not had any problems so I said sure. His dances are usually no problem since they begin directly after school is over and you just go pick up your kid at 5PM. So, no running back and forth to home and school - easy peasy.
Last night he asked me for $4 for the ticket, oh "and can I have a $5 more for food?" I stopped at the ATM on the way home and got a $20 (the smallest bill that will come out of our ATMs) and gave it to him. Remembering that he only needed $9, I asked him to bring me the change after the dance.
When I went to pick him up, he handed me $5. The rest of the conversation went something like this...
"Where's the rest of the money"
"Huh, What money?"
"The rest of the money that you were supposed to have for change. I gave you a $20, you needed $9, there's supposed to be at least $10 in change here. And you just gave me a $5."
"Uh, I don't know"
"What do you mean you don't know, did you count the money you were given back?"
" uh, I guess so"
"Write down everything you bought and how much it cost"
So he proceeds to write down the ticket, two slices of pizza, a bag of chips and a drink - it came to $8.50.
"So, where is the rest of the money?'
"Huh, Mom I don't understand what you mean... "
"What you wrote down totals $8.50, right? You just gave me $5, right? What is 8 +5?"
"13"
"Yes, so we've accounted for $13.50 of $20, right? Where is the rest of the $20?"
"Oh! I don't know."
"Did you buy anything for anyone else?"
"Yea, No I mean No... I didn't"
like 15 minutes later at home... he's gathered $5 worth of change from what he says was his room, but only after I told him if he couldn't tell me where the money went that he owed me $5 and he would no longer go to the dances. Then I tried to go over the totals with him again.
"Did you buy anything for anyone else?"
"Yes, I bought someone a drink."
"Why didn't you write it down?"
"Because you said to write down what I bought. And I didn't buy it, I just gave them the dollar and they bought it"
Seriously, just between me and you... when I have these conversations with my extremely intelligent 13yo (who refuses to apply himself, even with temptations of love or money) I can literally here my brain stop and say... "Wait, What did he just say?" It's like my whole body pauses... to say... "can you say that again"
I love him with my entire being.. not divided by several others but the whole thing.. without my kids and my Hubs I ain't nothing... But I can literally have a conversation with my 4yo better, easier... than I can have the same conversation with my 13 yo.
Is it boys vs girls? Is it boy vs mom? Is it teenager vs stupid authority figure? Is it ADHD vs non-ADHD?
There's so much I want to teach him.. but we can't seem to get any of it broken down into parts that he will retain or for that matter wants to hear. So... do I give up? Let him find his own way with no guidance what so ever? I don't think that's the kind of mother I am... at least not for my 4yo... but he's almost demanding it.

It's been difficult for me to post anything to my blog. I don't have access from work anymore, because our computer time is logged including emails. So that's out. And well, as I've said before.. I really don't have time to do anything at home and I'm trying to squeeze in time to clean.
I'm not used to not having time to clean. I'd had everything down to a science before I got the second job. Well, before I had LuLu anyway...
It's amazing how stressed I get over work, money, lack of time, etc. It's just as amazing how much better cleaning my home makes me feel. Weird, huh?!
Punk is coming back in a week! I can't wait! I've missed him so badly. It'll be nice just to have him where I can see him again. His birthday is Saturday. He'll be 13. I asked him what he'd like for his birthday and he couldn't name anything. So, I've been thinking of getting something. There's one thing that I had in mind. Well, at least one thing that's not incredibly expensive... but we'll have to see how it goes.
My first job is still up in the air... from what people are saying -- we won't really know for sure that we actually have a job until well after January.
Also, I'm trying to come up with a way to show Punk about earning money and paying bills Without using my actual money or bills.
Well, it's 9pm and I have to be up at 1:45AM...

a joke in mixed company
I came home early today. Called Punk on the way and asked that he turn on the oven, the supper I'd planned would take an hour an a half. When I got home, Punk was putting the dish into the oven, very nice.
We proceed to talk about his day and mine and he starts telling me a joke... not sure if you know it but I'll give you the highlights.. door-to-door salesman - selling mosquito spray - farmer hangs him naked outside overnight - calf ... has his way with salesman.
I asked Punk gently because I already know the answer... "do you know what the calf did to the man?"
He looks at me - quietly... waiting.. he finally says ".... no"
"that's what I thought.... do you know how a calf eats from his mother?"
"yea"
"well, the man was hanging upside down... in the barn..."
"....... AWE MAN.... THAT'S GROSS!"
"and that's why you should be sure you know "why" a joke is funny, before you tell it"

Two full days left...
We're packing at work... in addition to preparing for a week long out of state training class. The entire team of people that I work for, total 18, will be moving our desks, work items, and personal items from the 2nd floor of the building to the 3rd floor. Some of us have been here 20 years, so you can imagine the extent of the move.
I've been here 11 years and this is my 5th move in 3 years. I decided a couple moves ago... less is much much more... so I've taken nearly everything home. I still have pictures, and the odd little desk thing that would have no place at home... like a fan, a zen garden, and a small gargoyle named Fluffy.
I still need to have the majority of my supplies here near me so... the only things that I can move are personal items... So, I'll be doing that today..
Thinking about going to a waterpark for like a day or weekend (if we could stay at a campground for super cheap)
Punk went to a nearby State Zoo today... he's sent me pics of a zebra and a flamingo. So, it seems that he's having a good time.. from the pics it also looks as though it's not raining there (it is here, has since yesterday)
LuLu told me yesterday... "You know dat I'm going wif you to Nof Carlina nes week, wight Mommy?"
In addition to all this... There are 3 ladies that do what I currently do. I've already been told that one of them is moving to another position. And that the New Owners don't have a position that does what I currently do and that no one is sure "what my roll will be when we get back from training"
...makes me nervous....

I've got $160, that okay?
Hubs, LuLu and I drove to the place that we always meet to exchange Punk with his dad yesterday. At 5pm, an hour earlier than normal. LuLu sang at the top of her lungs for what we thought was the entire 34 miles, at some point during the drive I looked behind me to see her slumped over with her mouth agape... in the midst of uncomfortable sleep.
That's how she fights off sleep now... I forget until she does it again. Used to be that she and I would take the same drive by ourselves... and she, just a baby then, would scream the entire 34 miles back home. Never quite sure what she was so upset about... I tried everything. I thought about it being that Punk was suddenly gone from her sight but, then nothing I can do about that. So, I tried other things... leaving the light in the car on.. talking to her.. different toys... a movie... I would call people and have them talk to me just so I could get the schrillness of her pitch out of my head. It felt as though sometimes she was trying to over power the entire car with that out of control screaming. My Dad, forever the upstanding parent... "you got more patience than I got. I'da dun worn 'er ass out!" For what? I have no idea. What "wearing her ass out" would've changed? I haven't a clue. What I do know is there wasn't any point in me pulling off the side of an interstate to have a screaming match with an infant (literally from 1 month until she could speak well) let alone pulling over to "wear her out" which in my opinion would've only made matters worse. I finally reached behind me one day and just stroked her foot with my hand... she immediately stopped crying. It was very uncomfortable to drive that way but then so was driving while my ears were bleeding.
We pull up, we wait and wait and wait. The show up.. Punk and Ex. Punk always looks skinnier and taller when we get him back. He has his patch on, I can tell. How long he's had it on, I don't know and won't know for sure until it starts to wear off. I tell Ex about a bill that I got in the mail for Punk's allergy shots... $170. "okay" he said... nothing more.
Just now he called. "I only had $160 on me, but I put it in your account."
"that's fine, thanks!"
I told my friend at work.. if he'd been half the man he is now.. we'd probably still be together. But I know I can't truthfully say that... because it's this guy that he is with everyone that has always been the cool one. It's the personal guy, the one you marry and work with (trust me cause I did both) that becomes the mind numbing asshole that you want to tie to a tree in some remote wilderness somewhere... whoops sorry.. carried away again. Anyway, it's that guy that never clicked with me.

another routine
Funny how plans or goals are ever changing. I brought a notebook to work today to jot down some things that I need to start doing.. a routine if you will, anyway I'd found a list of things that I wanted to try to start doing, didn't happen. I'd become very routine for some reason... and I was happy with it. Punk had gotten to a self sufficient stage and I was able to do things around the house without the need of much worry over him. Then along came LuLu and well for lack of better terms.. my routines were shot to hell. Then I tweaked and twittled, messed and fussed til I got another routine figured out. Then without warning a job change. (same employer different position) Good for family... bad for routine... again with the messing and tweaking. A new routine.. and BAM... the paper route. Now my idea of a routine is leave my primary job.. try not to sit down while making supper (I'll fall asleep), eat, a little tv with the family, shower and off to bed. It's becoming a trial to make it to 8:30PM without falling asleep.
I feel like having a routine helps me get things done. And that if I could start a routine, doing these things consistently each day well... it might become easier to juggle all these balls... that's how it's been in the past for me... minus the second job of course.
Needless to say that all the things on the list that I found no longer apply. Some do.. like "lessen the sugar intake" (I have a problem) or "dog's to dog park once a month" not that they need it, they play in our backyard just fine. but I'm all about an occasional change of scenery. Some don't like "get into a bedtime routine" that one has pretty much been taken care of... No staying up til 2AM for me anymore.. I'd never sleep if that was the case.

V trained me for the new route all last week. I want to tell you first and foremost... I love this chick. I won't go into too many details I know that that's totally unlike me but I know you'll forgive me. Surprising all the discussions complete strangers can get into in a car for 3 to 4 hours at 3AM. Such as... kids (take 'em or leave'em), husbands (same), previous jobs, previous lovers... we even talked about how nice it would be to have a wife.
I personally would love to have a wife. I know, I know for you diehards... that's what my husband is for... but sit back and think... much as you love him... does he do absolutely everything for you... that you do for him... sickness and health... can you share everything with him... when was the last time he took off to take care of you while you were sick? when was the last time you both had a spa day together? Now I'm not bashing men, least of all mine because he's done all these things and so much more.. especially since I now have two jobs...
Anyway, you know me... back to my story.. V and I are driving down this road wearing pajamas (I know lucky me,right!), putting papers in boxes, discussing life in general. We get to a box that was on vacation the week before she puts a paper in the box and begins to scream her head off. I look around for some sort of murdering idiot only to find that a bird has flown from inside the box into her Blazer. We both hop out and open all the doors. It finally flies away but not before it gave us its birdy lecture about waking it at 3:30AM and that we were not to disturb her eggs under any circumstances. Next night, nothing... in fact for two nights nothing... she must've hauled her eggs to a sitter and went to the Rockin' Robin for a little R&R before the babes are born. (... and who can blame her, one's enough let alone 3 or 4 hungry mouths, good grief!) But, low and behold, Saturday morning... Punk and I were out, my first night without my chaperone and he with only me for protection... I used my flashlight to see what there was to see... nothing... then I pulled up a little closer.. hoping I had the right angle and she wouldn't fly in if she was there. Still nothing, I slid the paper in nice and easy... didn't even put it all the way in the box. The BIRD is back... dun! dun! dun! Flew in the car... squawkin' I did the best I could not to scream... instead made some sort of muffled ew! ew! ew! noise. Punk, luckily was asleep but woke up after she'd flown out. Yea...just try to shew a bird out of your car... not sure what kinda she was but for our purposes let's go with wren. Either way... I wasn't very persuasive at first.. then just started talking to her.. and she apparently decided that people who beg wild birds to leave their car aren't that exciting and she left.
I called the owner of the box, sweet older couple. Introduced myself as the new carrier and mentioned the bird. They knew about the bird. Said that her husband had cleaned out the box last year and a new nest was build this year. I told her about the bird in the car and that I hoped they hadn't heard me. I asked if it would be okay if I threw the paper (in a bag) in their driveway. She said that would be fine and then after the babies are finished with the nest we plan on putting a "flap" on the entrance of the paperbox. (think the hole punch game on the Price is Right) It's normally used to keep people from stealing the paper but it will also keep birds from making nests in the box.
ps. door to door my new route is 70 miles. I doubled my subscriber amount and pay as well. We took the passenger seat out of my little car. Put in my XM Radio. Put deer whistles on the the front (LOTS of deer on my route). I recycle any papers that are left over after a week. not sure if' I've mentioned it before but if you don't already know, here Carriers buy their own supplies... meaning rubberbands and bags. To me, they should be supplied by the paper. Just another way I think I'm a little more OCD than other people. I have to rubberband the papers. They look better, easier to handle, and it keeps me busy while I ride from box to box. As far as the bags, if it rains or snows or you name it.. it goes in a bag. As well as if there is a paper that I have to put on a porch, especially in the country, I don't want someone spilling their coffee or an animal pee'ing on the paper. I could get blamed for it and there are only so many complaints that can be called in on me before I get written up.

Parent Teacher Conference
yesterday was our meeting with Punk's principal, assistant teacher and a couple other teachers. Punk came to ask us if he was supposed to be in there, we asked him to stay. During the course of the discussion several things happened...
- They offered to take him out of keyboarding class and put him in what I'm calling studyhall.
- They said that next year based on his disability we'll be able to get his books on CD. (which I thought was cool, it would've been a great help to me while I was in school)
- They've agreed to have him retested.
- Ex spoke highly of Hubby, calling him a great step parent. ...... .... ..... ...

Como say What?!
I received word today that I may have to go to another city to train on new systems for a week in June for 1st job. I'm not sure that I like the idea... I mean sure... a get-away would be nice. I could send Lulu to her grandparents. Punk would be nearly finished with this school year, I shutter to think of it. Hubby would have to work, so he wouldn't be able to come... But I would literally have to PAY someone to work 2nd job for me. **THIS ISN'T THE REASON I HAVE 2ND JOB** so, needless to say... I'm a little sketchy about it.
We have a meeting tomorrow at lunch with Punk's principal and assistant teacher. Punk made a confession to his dad over the weekend that he was being bullied by two boys, and has been all year. I know that Ex is coming down, I thought that Step was too but it didn't sound that way when I spoke with Ex today. Hubby won't be there, I'll just leave that alone.

So much going on...
Since I haven't been here in a couple of weeks... it's time for a catch up - please bare with me as I pull the cobwebs away from my blog. =)
In no particular order -
Second job - going well... going to bed between 7pm and 10pm (depending on just how well I can listen to myself say GO TO BED) up at 230AM (no, that's not a typo) Work for about 3 hours and then back home. Blog or facebook for a bit.. nap if needed and then to work for the daylight hours. I love my second job.. LuLu goes with me, during the week... She sleeps mostly occasionally waking up to ask me 3 year old questions... like "why is the moon so bright?" and my favorite so far "Do you want me to sing for you, Mommy?" I'm like 3AM and you're wanting to sing?? She gets through the first few bars of a Valentine's Day song that she made up and ZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzz Punk goes with me on his weekends here. He says he loves going with me and I really enjoy having him out there... we cut up and have a great time... On one of his first nights at work with me a Phil Collins song came on the radio... "In the night" well, we tried to Redneck it up. It was hilarious! "I can feel it coming, yea in the night... (that's with a long "I") OH LORD!! OH, LORD!!" yea... sounded like we hadn't seen a street light in several years.. good stuff!!!
Punk - well, I usually don't post alot about Punk.. and mostly well it's because I really don't want to put stuff on my blog that would reflect negatively on him. But there was a post recently that mentioned that I didn't say anything about him and the long and short of it was this "Anonymous" (whatever) person (yea, right) said it was hard to believe that I even had a son as much as I gush over my daughter!? Now, I'm not going to relive the image I had of beating the hell out of this particular person with my damn laptop... But first - IF YOU HAVE SOMETHING TO SAY - DO NOT HIDE BEHIND "ANONYMOUS" YOU CHICKEN SHIT PIECE OF JUDGEMENTAL TRASH! Oh sorry was that in CAPS... (muttering>>>> stupid fucker!) If you have something so say... FUCKING SAY IT or better yet MIND YOUR OWN BUSINESS sure I have ideas who said it.. because it just so happens that NOTHING was ever posted like that until I signed up for facebook. but... I've let it go. My chiropractor says I shouldn't hold grudges... little does she know that's one of the first things you're taught as a child in my family. In fact its the formaldehyde that's keeping my grandmother alive! Now, that I've vented... let me tell you what I was going to say... PUNK - well, his name here came from a name that I called him when he was my tiny little baby... "chunky punk" and well I was 20, it rhymed and he was anything but chunky. Anyway, Punk has decided to NOT turn in any school work. Apparently, he's also decided that every time he is with his Dad and StepMom that he should talk about wanting to move in with them. Then when he is here he gives me the "They won't stop talking about me moving up there, and I'm sick of hearing it, and I don't know what to do." And my personal favorite, "She talks to me about moving up there when Dad isn't around, She said all we had to do was go to court and it would be fine" I have literally dated people that didn't mess with my freakin' head as much as MY FIRST BORN messes with my head! WTF!!! I didn't drop him on his head, I promise!! Now, Ex and Step are talking about a counselor for Punk, citing that he was an A/B student last year and this year he's D/F. Not to mention the obvious crap he's pulling with trying to pit the two families against each other. He's even gone so far as to talk about how Ex and Step don't have any children and he thinks that because we have LuLu that I'm not able to pay as much attention to him.. or I won't help him with his homework - when in reality, he hides in his room, erases his assignments from his assignment book, or says he completed the assignment at school, or doesn't even bother to ask if I can look at or help him with something. By the way, this has been going on all school year. He would get to a point that he was caught up and then BAM!! I get an email from his assistant teacher.. "Punk has 5 zeros in history, When I asked him about it, He just laughed, I'm concerned." If I'd pulled half the shit he's pulled, I'd be dead. The stuff he's done isn't horrible I understand that, I mean he hasn't stolen a car or gotten in fights, etc. But, OMG... A woman that I confide in at work says that I should back off... if he wants to 'not do it' just let him. And I'm with her to an extent. But I'm telling you right now... I feel that Ex and Step would go crazy if I said... "you know what, he's dug the hole, let him get himself out of it." or take me to court for custody and say that I didn't care enough to put a stop to my own son being a dumbass... pity that I feel that I have to censor myself because I believe I know who the anonymous poster is... by the way, if you're reading this... really ANONYMOUS - WTF??? again, STUPID FUCKER! So, I'm trying to find a counselor for Punk. I'm trying to make sure on a daily basis that he does his homework.. I have to ask him to show me the assignment book everyday, and his work that matches it everyday... then I have to ask him if the teacher gave him anything else to bring home, because apparently when I ask him for his homework that is a sign to him that I didn't ask for anything else and he shouldn't automatically give me the other papers that aren't homework. (in my observation of the male of the species - they learn a "specific question" behavior. this keeps them from giving too much information to quickly. this is in turn gives the female of the species an unspoken permission to do several things... 1. scream 2. take up boxing, running and/or firearms (sniper style) 3. become a lesbian 4. wonder how/why the hell??? 5. pray for sanity) 6. drink heavily 7. participate in verbal bashing of the males of the species oh, wait I forgot... and 8. shop!) Sigh, Breathe...
Normal work, is another story... busy, busy, busy... pray, pray, pray (that after 11 years, and being bought out, that I don't find myself jobless)
well, that's the last few weeks in a nutshell (and a full nutshell at that)
